President: Stan Austin
"I have been a devoted user of our Valley and Metroparks for decades.
The dog park is a natural addition to the park. I walk by it several
times a week and enjoy the dogs and the people they bring with them.
So, I want to contribute and give back by helping with the maintenance
aspects of the park. I think that I will be able to work with the Parks
Department which offers so much to the park. I am an "uncle" to many
of my friends dogs. I've included a few of their pictures. Habibi is
my personal Secret Service guard. And Boo is stronger than any wrestler
I've ever grappled with. I look forward to working with all of you so
that we can keep and improve this Lakewood jewel."
Stan is 'uncle' to Boo (aka Burak), a Kangal and Habibi, a Kuvaz.

Treasurer:
Peggy Jensen
My dogs, Zoe and Greta were muttering around the house…. "Leashes,
leashes, we don't need no stinkin' leashes". I agreed with them and
volunteered to help launch the off-leash dog park in Lakewood. I'm not
there that often since I'm busy fostering dogs for Northeast Ohio Collie
Rescue.

"A pet lover
and active member of the Lakewood community for several years, I became
involved when I heard about the dog park project in 2002. One of my
major functions during the construction process was fundraising. Among
the projects where I played a key role included our 2003 baseball outing
to Canal Park and the 2003 "Hair of the Dog" silent auction and happy
hour. I served as president from early 2004 until November 2005. Among
the projects that occurred under my presidency are park improvements
and the introduction of the annual "Doggie Dip" fundraiser. I live in
Lakewood with my two mutts, Toby and Cocoa. Cocoa likes to go to the
park to see other dogs... Toby likes to go and see the people. "
