Here is the latest news and information from Friends of the Lakewood Dog Park:

Dog Park Meeting! There will be a general meeting this wednesday, May 28, at 7 PM. We will meet at Sullivan's Irish Pub and Restaurant on the corner of Madison and Chesterland. This is about two blocks west of our old meeting place, Bella Dubby. The address is 13368 Madison Ave. It is on the north side of the street and has off street parking behind it.

Rocky River Re-Files! The lawsuit has been dismissed but the fight is not over! Rocky River has filed an appeal in the Eight District Court of Appeals on January 14. Check back for updates!

We Have a New Entrance! The construction is pretty much done as far as the dog park is concerned and we now have a new second entrance located in the parking lot just around the corner of the fence. The new entrance has a ramp for those in wheelchairs but it is a bit steep. You may now use the parking lot in the evenings and on the weekends but please park in marked parking spaces. If there are no parking spaces left you MUST park at the marina. Also the water treatment plant needs the parking spaces in the corner nearest the plant, located between the two employee gates, for city only parking all the time, in case of emergencies. So please DO NOT park in these spaces. The plant still uses most of the lot until 4 PM Monday through Friday. There will eventually be new signage in the parking lot designating times of use, etc. The city was nice enough to let us have the use of the parking lot but if we abuse this privilege we could just as easily lose it again!
